Terms of Use & Certification
The terms that apply to this website and the principles governing UKQAB certification.
About UKQAB
The UK Quality Assessment Board is an independent private quality assessment and certification initiative founded by London Business Consultancy, United Kingdom.
UKQAB certification is private independent certification and does not replace statutory accreditation, licensing or regulatory approval where these are required.
Website use
Use this website lawfully. Do not interfere with its operation, submit misleading information, impersonate another person or organisation, or misuse UKQAB intellectual property. The content provides general information about our assessment and certification services.
Applications and assessment
Application does not guarantee certification. Each application is reviewed for eligibility and an appropriate assessment scope. UKQAB may request further information, propose a revised scope or decline an application where a suitable assessment cannot be conducted.
Before assessment begins, the scope, requirements, arrangements and applicable fee are confirmed directly. Any specific written assessment agreement takes precedence over these general terms where they differ.
Fees
Fees depend on the agreed scope and complexity of the assessment. Payment arrangements and any applicable cancellation or refund conditions are provided in the written quotation or agreement. Paying an assessment fee does not guarantee a favourable outcome.
Evidence and applicant responsibilities
Applicants must provide accurate, complete and relevant evidence and have permission to share it. You are responsible for meeting the legal, licensing and regulatory requirements that apply to your organisation and activities.
UKQAB may seek clarification, request additional records or arrange interviews or further assessment where needed. Delays or incomplete information may affect the assessment.
Assessment decisions
UKQAB considers the evidence against the applicable criteria. Outcomes are Approved, Improvement Required or Not Approved. Certification is issued only where the applicable requirements have been met.
The assessment reflects the evidence and scope considered. It is not a guarantee of every future activity, result, product or service.
Scope and validity
Certification applies only to the scope stated on the certificate. It is normally valid for 12 months unless another period is stated. It must not be presented as approval of unassessed activities, related entities or locations outside that scope.
Renewal is handled directly with UKQAB and may require updated evidence or assessment. Certification does not renew automatically. Tell UKQAB about material changes that could affect the approved scope or continuing conformity.
Certificate and quality mark use
Successful applicants may use the UKQAB Quality Approved mark for the approved scope during the validity period, subject to any supplied usage conditions.
- Keep the mark legible and use the authorised artwork without misleading alteration.
- Present the approved scope accurately and avoid suggesting wider endorsement.
- Do not imply government approval, statutory accreditation or a relationship with another certification body.
- Stop presenting an expired, suspended or withdrawn certification as current.
- Do not transfer the certificate or mark permission to another organisation.
Suspension or withdrawal
UKQAB may suspend or withdraw certification where requirements are no longer met, material information was inaccurate, the mark is misused, or certification conditions are breached. We communicate the reason and any applicable corrective steps to the organisation.
Following suspension or withdrawal, the organisation must stop using the mark and must not claim current UKQAB approval.
International use and limitations
UKQAB certification is designed for international presentation and use. Acceptance by any regulator, authority, institution, employer or other third party is subject to that organisation's own requirements.
UKQAB does not guarantee commercial results or third-party acceptance. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Intellectual property
The UKQAB identity, quality mark and original website and certification materials are protected intellectual property. The permitted use of an issued certificate or mark does not transfer ownership. Third-party photographs and other assets remain subject to their respective rights.
Questions and complaints
Contact [email protected] with your organisation's name, relevant reference and details of your concern. We review assessment questions, complaints and reports of misrepresentation directly.
Applicable law
These website terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory rights that apply in your jurisdiction. Specific assessment arrangements, including dispute provisions, are set out in the relevant written agreement.
