Who is responsible

UKQAB is an independent quality assessment and certification initiative founded by London Business Consultancy, United Kingdom. London Business Consultancy is responsible for personal information handled through UKQAB. Contact [email protected] for privacy enquiries.

Information we collect

When you apply, we collect your organisation's name, country, contact name, email, phone or WhatsApp number, requested certification and your confirmation that an application does not guarantee certification. You may also provide a website and short description.

We also receive information you send directly by email or provide during later discussions. Please only share information relevant to your enquiry and that you are entitled to provide.

How we use your information

We use your details to review your application, assess eligibility, agree the scope and fee, request relevant evidence and communicate about assessment, certification and renewal. We also use information to respond to questions, address complaints and protect the website against misuse.

Our basis for responding to business contacts and managing applications is our legitimate interest in providing and administering independent assessment services. Where you personally enter into an agreement with us, we also process information to take requested steps before that agreement and carry it out. We may retain information to meet legal obligations.

The required fields allow us to review and respond to your application. You do not have a statutory obligation to apply, but we cannot process an application without the necessary details. We do not make certification decisions solely by automated processing.

Email and service providers

The application form sends your information to UKQAB by email using Resend. Your email address is used as the reply-to address so our team can contact you directly. The website does not store applications in a database.

Information may be handled by our email, hosting and assessment service providers where needed to deliver these services. Providers may process information outside the UK. We use applicable transfer safeguards where required. Contact us for details of the safeguards relevant to your information. Resend describes its processing in its Privacy Policy.

We do not sell application information or use the form to subscribe you to marketing.

Website security and cookies

The website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Hosting services may process standard connection information to deliver and protect the website. The application endpoint temporarily uses a hashed connection identifier to limit repeated submissions.

Where a Cloudflare Turnstile security check is displayed, Cloudflare processes browser and connection information to distinguish genuine submissions from automated abuse. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy for details.

How long we keep information

We retain correspondence and application information for as long as needed to handle the enquiry, assessment or certification relationship. We consider the status of the application, certification validity and renewal, outstanding complaints, and applicable legal or record-keeping requirements when deciding what to retain. We delete or anonymise information that is no longer needed.

Your rights

You may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal information, depending on the circumstances.

You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. To make a request, email [email protected]. We may ask for information needed to confirm your identity.

You can also raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or your relevant local data protection authority.

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when our information handling changes. This version applies to the UKQAB website and its application form.
