Your questions, answered.

A closer look at UKQAB certification, the assessment process and what approval means for your organisation.

What is UKQAB?

The UK Quality Assessment Board is an independent private quality assessment and certification initiative founded by London Business Consultancy, United Kingdom.

What does UKQAB certify?

Businesses, institutions, education and training providers, programmes, services and other suitable scopes. We review each application to confirm what can be assessed.

Can organisations outside the UK apply?

Yes. UKQAB accepts suitable applications internationally, regardless of country, industry or size, subject to assessment eligibility.

Is certification automatic?

No. Every certification application is subject to assessment. Submitting an application or paying an assessment fee does not guarantee approval.

How long is certification valid?

Normally 12 months unless another period is stated on the certificate. Renewal is handled directly with the UKQAB team.

What do we receive?

Successful applicants receive a UKQAB Quality Approval Certificate, the UKQAB Quality Approved mark, a certification reference number, approved scope and validity period, and an assessment summary or report. An official confirmation letter is provided where appropriate.

Can we use the UKQAB mark on our website?

Yes, while your certification is valid and only in connection with the approved scope. The mark can also be used on relevant brochures, profiles, proposals and other materials, in accordance with its usage conditions.

How much does certification cost?

Fees depend on what is being assessed and the complexity of the assessment. Once we understand your organisation, we will confirm the scope, requirements and applicable fee.

Is UKQAB certification a government accreditation?

No. UKQAB provides independent private quality assessment and certification. It does not replace any statutory accreditation, licence or regulatory approval that may be required.

Will every organisation accept UKQAB certification?

UKQAB certification is an independent private quality recognition designed for international presentation and use. Acceptance by any particular regulator, authority, institution, employer or third party remains subject to that organisation's own requirements.

How is the assessment carried out?

Depending on the scope, we can review documents, websites, supporting records and samples, and arrange online meetings, interviews or virtual assessment. Physical assessment may be arranged where appropriate. Our team explains the evidence requirements after your initial application.

What happens if improvements are needed?

An Improvement Required outcome means some areas must be addressed before approval. UKQAB explains the findings and what needs to be reviewed. Where requirements have not been sufficiently met, the outcome is Not Approved.

Do I need to upload documents when I apply?

No. The initial form only asks for your organisation and contact details. We request relevant evidence directly after reviewing your application.

How do I ask about a certificate or raise a concern?

Email [email protected] with the organisation's name, certification reference if available, and your enquiry. The UKQAB team handles certificate enquiries and complaints personally.
